Weeks, 11 Paid Holidays Full Benefits – Medical, Dental,Vision, Flexible Spending Accounts, Basic and Voluntary LifeInsurance, Short-Term and Long-Term Disability Job Details We arecurrently looking for an Electrical Engineer II or III with theirPE License (depending on experience level) to design and perform QCof designs for a variety of electrical and communications projectsprimarily for military/commercial/industrial new and retrofit forbuilding and infrastructure construction. You’ll haveresponsibility for design requirements; preparation of designplans, project specifications and cost estimates; inspection ofconstruction projects; quality review of subcontractor designs andclose interaction with a multidisciplinary staff of engineers andscientists.

Responsibilities:

Prepare designs for electrical andcommunications projects. Evaluate, select, and apply standardengineering techniques, procedures and criteria, using judgment inmaking some substantial engineering adaptations and modificationsto assigned projects. Assists in the planning, designing, andmonitoring of projects for substantial new construction, renovationand improvement projects for real property facilities encompassinghighly specialized or unique requirements. Conducts site visits todocument conditions. Assists in the preparation of written reports.

Perform QC of designs for electrical and communications projects.

Assists in serving as a technical consultant concerning facilitiesplanning, design, construction and/or maintenance for differentcategories of facilities; determine resources and performlong-range planning. Reviews consultant-prepared design drawings,indicating basic design corrections, prepare technicalspecifications, review engineering plans for compliance withnumerous regulatory acts. Prepares specifications for constructioncost estimates. Assists in the evaluation of contract bids, makerecommendations to higher-level engineers regarding feasibilitystudies and assist in the management of large-scale constructionprojects. Uses construction inspection report data to preparepayment estimates as a recommendation for payment of contractors.

Education/Requirements:

BS Degree in Electrical Engineering.

Current Professional Engineering (PE) license (North Carolina orGeorgia). Ability to be licensed by comity in other states. Minimum5 years’ Electrical and Communication Design and/or Constructionexperience. LEED-AP certification preferred (not required). Workingknowledge of applicable design and building codes. Experienceadministering and managing construction contracts. Computerproficiency in Revit/AutoCAD – Excel, Word, CAD, and disciplinespecific software. Interested in hearing more?
