Weeks, 11 Paid Holidays Full Benefits – Medical, Dental,Vision, Flexible Spending Accounts, Basic and Voluntary LifeInsurance, Short-Term and Long-Term Disability Job Details We arecurrently looking for a Sr. Electrical Engineer IV or III withtheir PE License (depending on experience level) to design andperform QC of designs for a variety of electrical andcommunications projects primarily formilitary/commercial/industrial new and retrofit for building andinfrastructure construction. You will leverage your extensiveexperience and technical expertise and collaborate withcross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions thatintegrate seamlessly with architectural designs. You’ll haveresponsibility for design requirements; preparation of designplans, project specifications and cost estimates; inspection ofconstruction projects; quality review of subcontractor designs andclose interaction with a multidisciplinary staff of engineers andscientists. In this role, you’ll also delegate, plan and execute,while managing scopes, schedules, and budgets. Must have theability to confidently take project from beginning to end. You’llalso mentor and train junior-level employees.

Responsibilities:

Prepare designs for Electrical and Communications projects.

Evaluate, select and apply engineering techniques, procedures andcriteria, using judgment in making substantial engineeringadaptations and modifications to assigned projects. Plan, designand oversee projects for substantial new construction, renovationand improvement projects for real property facilities encompassinghighly specialized or unique requirements. Conducts site visits todocument conditions. Leads the preparation of written reports.

Perform QC of designs for electrical and communications projects.

Serve as a technical consultant concerning facilities planning,design, construction and/or maintenance for different categories offacilities; determines resources and performs long-range planning.

Delegates tasks and plans; executes and manages scopes, schedulesand budgets. Serves as responsible charge of projects (DOR). Reviewconsultant-prepared design drawings, indicate basic designcorrections, prepare technical specifications, and reviewengineering plans for compliance with numerous regulatory acts.

Prepare specifications for construction cost estimates. Evaluatecontract bids, make recommendations to higher-level engineersregarding feasibility studies and assist in the management oflarge-scale construction projects. Prepares project budgets andschedules for proposal efforts. Use construction inspection reportdata to prepare payment estimates as a recommendation for paymentof contractors. Mentor junior-level staff.

Education/Requirements:

BS in Electrical Engineering. Current Professional Engineeringlicense (North Carolina or Georgia) and ability to be licensed bycomity in other states. Minimum 20 years of Electrical andCommunication Design experience. Extensive working knowledge ofapplicable design and building codes. Experience Administering andManaging Construction Contracts. RCDD preferred (not required).LEED AP certification preferred (not required). Computerproficiency in Revit/AutoCAD – Excel, Word, and discipline specificsoftware. Interested in hearing more?
