Job Description
Description We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer to join our team. This role will be responsible for designing, updating, and maintaining test fixtures for new smart metering devices, creating comprehensive construction documentation, and ensuring the smooth operation of test fixtures. This role requires hands-on experience in fixture assembly, debugging, and maintenance, as well as proficiency in various software and tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and update fixture designs, including cabling and board modifications, to meet specifications from test teams for new smart metering devices.
- Develop easy-to-understand construction documentation that can be easily parsed and used by techs from our global teams.
- Create Bills of Materials (BOMs) with all parts needed for fixture construction.
- Accurately review documentation created by other team members and highlight any potential issues.
- Debug fixtures electrically when test fixture problems arise, narrow down issues to accurately determine root cause, and find potential solutions.
- Set up and debug fixture PCs using Windows.
- Work hands-on in fixture assembly, including soldering and cable assembly.
- Assist techs in fixing any high-level maintenance issues.

Additional Skills & Qualifications Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Experience with any 3D modeling software (Autodesk Fusion or SolidWorks is a plus).
- Ability to use a Digital Multi Meter.
- Ability to use an oscilloscope (practical exercises will be part of the interview process).
- Ability to use a logic analyzer (practical exercises will be part of the interview process).
- Understanding of PCB layout and stack-up for debug purposes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, etc.
- Excellent communication skills.
