Sr. Electrical Engineer Atlantic City, NJ 08405 System One isseeking a Sr. Electrical Engineer in Atlantic City, NJ to provideengineering support on government infrastructure / aviationprojects. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) awarded theTechnical Support Services Contract 5 (T5) to our client in April2023. Our client is the prime contractor. This $1.8 billioncontract has a 4-year base period with two 3-year options. Thestatement of work includes a variety of activities that support theFAA’s Capital Investment Plan (CIP) and certain reimbursableprograms, the FAA NextGen Program, national security programs andaviation safety. Specifically, work includes site selection andengineering, construction, environmental and fire/life safety,equipment installation and testing, drafting, contractsurveillance, and other technical services as required. Work isperformed across the nation in each of the FAA’s nine regions aswell as the Aeronautical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and theTechnical Center in Atlantic City, New Jersey and in several U.S.territories. An average staff of 500 with a peak staff over 650supports this contract, in addition to those subcontractors whoperform construction work.

- 8weeks to clear Senior Electrical Engineer responsibilities:
Electrical Engineer will provide Engineering Support to include,but not limited to the following: Design low voltage powerdistribution systems. Prepare single line diagrams and wiringdiagrams under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
Coordinate design with other disciplines (i.e., civil,architectural, mechanical, structural, etc.) Adhere to our policiesas well as the FAA policies for design document development.
Completes a variety of assignments such as drawings,specifications, and other materials suitable for procurement andconstruction purposes, utilizing CAE/CAD as applicable. Preparestandard engineering computations, material quality takeoffs,estimates, surveys, and designs. Prepare detailed requisitions forlow voltage equipment and materials. Size conduit, conductors andovercurrent protection devices per the National Electric Code(NEC). Reviews small and portions of larger supplier drawingsubmittals and assists in performing technical bid analyses.
Prepare and issues specifications, data sheets, and otherconstruction documents. Provide input and technical guidance to CADDesigner/Drafters, Designers, and lower-level Engineers working onthe same project. Perform other responsibilities associated withthis position as may be appropriate. Perform field surveys andcollect required data as per project needs.
Senior ElectricalEngineer required skills:
BS degree in Electrical Engineering froman ABET accredited college. (Third party evaluation of ABETequivalency may be accepted.) 8 years of electrical design relatedexperience in low voltage power distribution systems, data centerdesign, power quality analysis, lighting systems, grounding,lightning protection and Uninterruptible Power Sources (UPS). Mustbe able to pass government background check. Working knowledge ofthe National Electric Code (NEC). Proficiency in AutoCAD. Abilityto work well under pressure and within budgeted hours and schedule.
Green card or US citizenship required. PE license in any State isrequired.
Senior Electrical Engineer preferred skills:
Previousexperience in engineering consulting with federal agencies ispreferred. Working knowledge of FAA standards and specifications ispreferred. Familiar with construction practices and safe workprocedures. Ability to solve problems with persons inside andoutside an organization to find mutually beneficial solutions.
Previous experience with lightning and grounding protection.
