We specialize in portable power distribution systems and power cable assemblies, serving high-profile clients across industries like tech, construction, shipbuilding, and entertainment. ????♂️ The Opportunity We’re seeking a hands-on, motivated Electrical Engineer II to join our collaborative team. You’ll work closely with a seasoned engineer who has over 18 years of experience and a passion for mentoring. This is a unique opportunity to grow into a leadership role, eventually taking on new product development (NPD) and customer-facing design responsibilities. ????️
Key Responsibilities Electrical Design:
Lead the design and development of electrical systems, including power distribution, control systems, circuitry, and instrumentation.
CAD Drafting:
Create 2D/3D schematics, layouts, and technical documentation using AutoCAD and Inventor.
Project Management:
Manage projects from concept to completion—define scope, allocate resources, schedule tasks, and manage budgets.
Mentorship:
Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and review designs for compliance with standards and best practices.
Product Development:
Contribute to the design, prototyping, and testing of new electrical components and systems.
Risk Mitigation:
Identify technical risks and propose solutions to ensure safety and reliability.
Compliance:
Ensure all designs meet relevant industry codes and regulations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work with mechanical, software, and assembly teams to integrate systems and resolve technical challenges.
Continuous Improvement:
Recommend and implement improvements in design tools, workflows, and methodologies.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of designs, specifications, test plans, and project milestones. ✅ Essential Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (EE), Mechanical Engineering (ME), or a related field 2-3 years of relevant engineering experience Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D & 3D) and Inventor Strong foundation in electrical engineering principles and U.S. electrical codes Experience in OEM environments Exposure to electromechanical systems (pneumatics, hydraulics, etc.) Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment ????
