Job Description

As a result, we are seeking a highly motivated Airport Electrical Engineer to join our Aviation group. This position will be based out of the state of New Jersey and will play a crucial role in the planning and design of airport-related projects.
Responsibilities include:
Designing electrical and lighting systems for airport facilities and buildings
Developing probable construction cost estimates for projects
Analyzing and preparing reports, specifications, plans, schedules, permits, and designs for airfield lighting and signage projects
Developing and reviewing probable construction costs
Providing construction administration and site visits
Working closely with clients, partners and internal staff to achieve on-time and quality deliverables
Providing construction administration services and site visits related to electrical systems
Other tasks as assigned.
A valid driver’s license and travel will be required.
The successful candidate will have the following background:
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in electrical engineering or related field from an accredited four-year college or university
At least 6 years of relevant electrical experience
The ideal candidate will have experience with any/all the following:
PE license is preferred
Designing airport lighting systems and associated controls to FAA standards
Designing electrical systems for airport building, electrical vaults, parking facilities and other general electrical designs at an airport to FAA standards
Project management of AIP funded projects
Preparing construction document drawings in AutoCAD and Revit
Power design and analysis software (EasyPower and/or SKM Power Tools)
Lighting calculations software (AGi32)
Coordinating the preparation of construction document drawings and specifications
Providing construction administration services and site visits related to electrical systems

Salary Range:

$103,000 to $130,000 – Actual compensation may vary due to other factors such as: experience, skill set or location.
