Electrical Engineer Position Available In New York, New York

Your New Role Seeking a motivated and skilled Mid-Level Electrical Design Engineer to join the team in Upstate New York location. In this role, you will work alongside senior engineers to design and develop electrical systems for a variety of projects, including commercial buildings, institutional facilities, and infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the design and development of electrical systems for various projects, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm systems Prepare electrical system designs, specifications, and drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, and other design software. Perform load calculations, equipment sizing, and voltage drop analysis for electrical systems. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure designs meet client requirements, local, state, and national codes (NEC), and industry standards. Review and coordinate electrical designs with other engineering disciplines and project stakeholders. Support project management by tracking project timelines, deliverables, and budgets. Participate in project meetings and provide technical support during construction and installation phases. Assist with electrical design evaluations, commissioning, and system troubleshooting as required What you’ll need to succeed Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical design, preferably in building systems or infrastructure projects. Proficiency with electrical design software, including AutoCAD and Revit. Experience with electrical calculation tools is a plus. Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other applicable local, state, and federal regulations. Strong understanding of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and fire alarm systems. Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. EIT certification preferred; PE license is a plus.
