We are seeking an Electrical Safety Professional (ESP) to support critical safety oversight during the LS-3 phase of our project. The ESP will be responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable electrical safety codes, standards, and procedures related to energized work and electrical systems. Candidates must meet one of the following qualification paths to be considered.
General Responsibilities:
Oversee and enforce electrical safety practices during all LS-3 phase work Monitor field activities involving electrical systems to ensure compliance with NFPA 70E and relevant safety codes Review and advise on job safety analyses, lockout/tagout procedures, and energized work plans Coordinate with project management, foremen, and safety staff to proactively mitigate electrical hazards Maintain up-to-date documentation of safety certifications, training compliance, and field inspections Support incident response and root cause analysis for any electrical safety-related issues
Qualifications:
Candidate is qualified if they are: Certified by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) as a Certified Electrical Safety Compliance Professional (CESCP) Alternatively, a candidate is qualified if they are: A licensed electrician, Have at least 8,000 hours (4 years) of verifiable field work experience with electrical power systems, and Have completed a minimum of 40 hours of electrical safety training within the last 3 years, from any of the following:
NFPA 70E
Electrical Safety in the Workplace seminars International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Independent Electrical Contractors (IEC) Other approved electrical safety training Alternatively, a candidate is qualified if they are an Electrical Engineer who meets one of the following paths: Licensed Registered Professional Electrical Engineer OR Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in electrical engineering from an accredited college or university, and at least 4,000 hours (2 years) of verifiable field experience with electrical power systems OR Associate degree in electrical engineering from an accredited college or university, and at least 8,000 hours (4 years) of verifiable field experience with electrical power systems AND (required for all of the above): Completed a minimum of 40 hours of electrical safety training within the last 3 years, from any of the following:
NFPA 70E
