Responsibilities:

Serve as an electrical engineer.

Lead the quality review process of work products developed byothers, and lead a team of electrical designers, electricalengineers, and coordinate the work of other discipline engineersinto the final design deliverables. Serve as a mentor, developingthe technical skills of others. Act as the client interfacerepresenting the electrical discipline and lead other disciplinesduring a design program. Act as the project manager on small tomid-scale electrical projects. This includes the ability tointeract with the client at the request for proposal stage, developletter proposals and fee estimates, prepare and deliverpresentations to the client, and act as the company representativethroughout project duration. Understand and grow the power systemspractice by promoting company’s capabilities to clients andbuilding relationships within the marketplace. This includesparticipation in relevant professional affiliations to stay currentwith emerging technologies and business practices. Provide supportfor construction projects, including cost estimating, constructionphasing/scheduling, site inspections, punch list development, andshop drawing review. Demonstrate a clear understanding of industrycodes and standards and develop code analysis reports. Preferredcode knowledge includes

NFPA, NESC, ANSI/IEEE

Standards, energycode, and building code. Familiarity with utility standardspreferred. Design for electrical power distribution (medium/lowvoltage) systems, grounding systems, lighting systems, fire alarmsystems, communication systems, etc. with a main focus on theindustrial market segment. Prepare technical reports to defineprojects and provide clients with technical direction. Prepare andreview power systems analysis reports, including short-circuit,load flow, and protective device coordination studies.

Requirements:

BSEE, engaged in lifelong learning to maintainknowledge of contemporary issues. 5 years relevant work experiencePE license required 2 years’ experience leading a team of designprofessionals in a consulting engineering environment.
