Building Controls Specialist Essential Functions:
Conduct in-depth site surveys to identify existing building HVAC control systems and conditions within facilities.
Facilitate adequate communication among the internal team, controls subcontractors, and customersIdentify and work with controls subcontractors to provide technical analysis and descriptions for project installation and to ensure the quality of work delivered exceeds the requirements of the jobSupport the sales teams by attending client meetings and presentationsAnalyze, prepare, and/or review building automation conceptual and detailed project documents that may include but are not limited to equipment sequences of operation, wiring schematics, building controls system integrations, bid documents, cost estimates, drawings, and specificationsProvide building controls engineering guidance throughout development, construction, project commissioning, and operations, including proposals, technical reports, cost estimates, and presentationsManage design of building automation systems including sizing controllers, sensors, and hardwareDemonstrate good leadership and communications to allProvide quality customer service and follow-up to customers as neededOther duties as assigned.
Building Controls Specialist education, experience, technical skills & attributes required:
One or more years of experience and knowledge in BAS controls, construction, or engineeringKnowledge of various pneumatic, electronic, and direct digital control systems and platforms as well as communication protocols like BACnet, etc.
Experience developing building controls solutions, troubleshooting and commissioning systemsAbility to work well with the sales and engineering teams to ensure complete and accurate solutionsExcellent written and oral communication skillsAn entrepreneurial spiritAbility to set and manage prioritiesProficiency in operating Microsoft Office programs, Adobe, Bluebeam, etc.
Strong customer advocacyGood organizational, analytical and problem solving abilityDetail oriented with the ability to multi-taskEnergetic with a high sense of urgencyBachelor, Associate, or Trade School degree preferredIndustry certifications relatable to job requirements preferred, such as CEM, CMVP, PE, FE, etc.
Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
Position is full-time Monday – Friday and could be a remote work position.
