Key ResponsibilitiesInclude:

Creates electrical designs of high-speed PCB backplanes,auxiliary PCBs and interconnection systems per customerrequirements, military specifications, and industry standardsCreates and maintains the engineering drawing packages to supportnew and existing PCB designs Designs cable harnesses to connectelectronic components and devices within the system Analyzesoverall design criteria, drawings, and test results to determine ifdesign meets functional and performance specifications Analyzesinformation and data to determine feasibility of product proposalPrepares and maintains power and thermal budgets Develops testplans to validate and verify the product design meets therequirements Uses computer assisted engineering and design softwareto formulate and analysis electronic designs and system performanceProvide technical support to sales and manufacturing personnel tosupport new product development. • Participates in customer designreviews and supports weekly phone calls with the client during thedevelopmental phase

Experience & Qualifications:

Proficient in PCBdesign software; Mentor Graphics PADS experience is a plusKnowledge of electronic design concepts such a differential-pairs,transmission lines and bus- structures Understanding of PCB designtechniques, including layout, materials, and stack-ups Familiaritywith military specifications and military part selection to meetrugged environmental requirements. Analytical mindset in order tosynthesize complex or diverse information. Exceptional technicalskills while able to employ a high level of trouble shootingtechniques to gather and analyze information as well as developalternative solutions. Understanding of VITA and PICMG computerstandards is a plus Basic understanding of project schedules andability to assist in creating schedules Ability to effectivelycommunicate with others Self-starter, self-motivated,problem-solving team player Ideal candidate will have 2 or moreyears of similar work experience
