Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or arelated field from an ABET-accredited program.
- ProfessionalEngineer (PE) license in Pennsylvania or the ability to obtainlicensure within 12 months.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience inelectrical engineering, with a focus on mission critical systemsfor healthcare and pharmaceutical facilities.
- Proficiency inelectrical design software and tools, including AutoCAD, Revit, andpower system analysis software.
- Strong knowledge of electricalcodes, standards, and best practices relevant to mission criticaland healthcare environments.
- Excellent communication skills andthe ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Duties:
- Lead the design and development of electrical systemsincluding power distribution, emergency and standby power (UPS,generators), lighting, fire alarm, and telecom systems for missioncritical healthcare and pharmaceutical facilities.
- Conduct loadcalculations, short circuit analysis, arc flash studies, anddevelop protective device coordination using tools such as SKM orETAP.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable codes and standards,including
NEC, NFPA
70E, and relevant healthcare regulations.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects,mechanical engineers, and construction managers, to integrateelectrical systems seamlessly into overall project designs.
- Oversee the preparation of construction documents, specifications,and technical reports.
- Participate in client meetings, sitesurveys, and construction administration activities to ensureproject requirements are met.
- Mentor junior engineers andcontribute to the development of best practices within theelectrical engineering team. Preferred Qualifications
- Experiencewith sustainable design practices and energy-efficient systems.
- Familiarity with the design and implementation of BuildingManagement Systems (BMS) and integration with electrical systems.
- Experience in leading multidisciplinary project teams and managingclient relationships.
