Entry Level Electrical Engineer Job Description

• Design engineering solutions based on established engineering and quality principles.
• Design electrical interface between the vehicle and customer specific systems.

These systems may include Intelligent Transportation Systems, radio communication, surveillance systems, passenger detection, passenger infotainment, Wi-Fi and others.

• Develop and implement test plans for new and existing designs, including validation of form/fit/function, electromagnetic interference, safety, reliability and system power consumption.
• Collaborates and communicates with management, internal, and outsourced development partners regarding design status, project progress, and issue resolution
• Review design output with customers and support customer acceptance inspections as it relates to electrical designs.
• Interface with mechanical and Interiors team members to develop a fully integrated electrical system for customer specific configurations.
• Support manufacturing when extensive troubleshooting of electrical systems is required.
• Responsibilities may also include base vehicle electrical system design. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals and negotiate options at all management levels.
• Works on problems of diverse scopes where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
• Receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments. Education and Experience
• 1-4 years’ experience in Engineering or related field.

Internship in a related field is preferred.
