: Company is seeking a full time Senior Electrical Engineer for their Energy, Manufacturing & Bioprocessing department to join our Chattanooga, Tennessee office. This business unit supports several market sectors including but not limited to power, manufacturing, industrial, and advanced biofuels markets.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Serve as office electrical discipline lead and provide oversight of 5-7 employees. This includes the administrative task of timesheet approvals, and work assignments.
Serve as a project discipline lead for client-based projects.
Develop electrical design documents and drawings.
Analyze and approve the work of others. Monitor the work performed by the team.
Conceptual and detailed design of low and medium voltage power distribution, lighting, grounding, motor control systems, PLC/Client, HMI’s process equipment and instrumentation.
Interact with clients, customers, officials, contractors and others.
Lead the electrical portion of project meetings and make necessary presentations.
Perform typical electrical calculations including but not limited to voltage drop, short circuit, coordination studies, arc flash, relay settings, conduit fill, lighting, and grounding. Experience using
ETAP & SKM
software preferred.
Develop specifications and datasheets for electrical equipment including, but not limited to, transformers, switchgear, MCCs.
Travel to client project sites to support field walk downs and as-built efforts.
Monitor allocated resources to ensure that the work performed is within project estimates.
Work with Design/Engineering Managers to ensure that project schedule will be met, and complete documents are provided for each project.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of twelve (12) years of electrical engineering experience, preferably in power, energy, oil and gas or other industrial process industries.
Ability to work in the office 3-5 days / week.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an A.B.E.T. accredited college is required.
PE License required.
Client projects for this position require US Citizenship.
Experience developing one-line drawings, control schematics and wiring diagrams, electrical equipment specifications, power plans, conduit plans, cable schedules, etc.
Experience developing electrical system models utilizing ETAP or SKM software, evaluating the results and producing the necessary reports. Experience developing Arc Flash labels, relay settings sheets, & protective coordination settings.
Working knowledge of technical
Codes and Standards:
NEC, IEEE, NFPA, IEC, etc.
Proficient using Microsoft Office Excel & Word.
Experience using Bluebeam Revu software.
Familiarity with AutoCAD, REVIT or other design software.
