Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled andexperienced Principal Power Electronics Engineer to join ourdynamic team. Are you ready to take the next step in your career?

As a keymember of our power conversion team, you will lead the design,development, and implementation of advanced power electronicsystems and components for high reliability Navy and commercialapplications. Your contributions will be instrumental in drivinginnovation and ensuring mission-critical performance, reliability,and sustainability in critical applications. What You Will Do Leadthe design and development of power electronic systems, includingconverters, inverters, and control systems, from concept toproduction. Define technical requirements and specifications basedon project goals and customer needs. Conduct detailed analysis,simulation, and modeling of power electronic circuits and systems.

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including hardwareengineers, software engineers, and mechanical designers to developpower electronic components and systems. Perform designverification, testing, and validation to ensure compliance withCustomer and contract specifications and performance requirements.

Apply Design for X (DfX) methodologies including but not limited toDesign for Cost, Design for Test, and Design for Manufacturabilityinto the products being developed. Drive continuous improvementinitiatives related to power electronics design processes andmethodologies. Mentor and provide technical guidance to juniorengineers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

Education & Experience Requirements Bachelors degree in ElectricalEngineering, Power Electronics, or a related field; advanced degree(MBA or PhD) preferred Proven track record of at least 8 years inthe design and development of power electronic systems, preferablyin power conversion or electric drive Expertise in designinghigh-frequency switching power converters, inverters, and DC/DCconverters Proficiency in simulation tools such as MATLAB/Simulink,MathCAD, PSpice, or equivalent Strong understanding of thermalmanagement, EMI considerations, and reliability engineeringprinciples Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability totroubleshoot complex issues Effective communication skills and theability to collaborate across teams and functions Demonstratedleadership experience in guiding engineering teams and projectsCandidates must be a US citizen and meet DRS security standards asimposed by DoD, including the issuance of any necessary securityclearance by the US government within a reasonable time aftercommencement of employment.

Other preferred qualifications include:

magnetic component design experience, experience in digital controlof power electronic systems, working knowledge of militarystandards for power quality and EMI, experience with OSHA and NFDA70E Electrical Safe Work practices, medium voltage designexperience U.S. Citizenship required. This position may require anactive DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain suchclearance within a reasonable time after commencement ofemployment.
