Duties + You will prepare Work Authorization Forms (WAFs) and Technical Work Document (TWD) Record Sheets in accordance with Navy and locally generated instructions. + You will review and approve Ship’s Force proposed tag outs as the Repair Activity Representative (RAR) in support of IMF maintenance. + You will act as a point of contact for all trades, ships force, and outside activities to schedule, open and close, and accomplish all shipboard work in tanks and confined spaces. + You will represent Work Control Group at critiques, refit planning meetings, process improvement teams, and Lean Rapid Improvement Events. + You will coordinate all shop inspections and work in tanks and confined spaces. Qualifications GS-10: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-09) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: applying technical engineering concepts and practices to analyze data (e.g. technical drawings, technical manuals, engineering memorandums, engineering designs, Work Authorization Forms (WAFs), Technical Work Documents (TWD’s), Record Sheets} to identify mechanical equipment or testing deficiencies, and develop and implement recommendations to improve processes or procedures in support of ship or submarine repairs. GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-08) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: applying technical engineering concepts and practices to analyze data (e.g. technical drawings, technical manuals, engineering memorandums, engineering designs, Work Authorization Forms (WAFs), Technical Work Documents (TWD’s), Record Sheets} to identify mechanical equipment or testing deficiencies, and recommend improved processes or procedures in support of ship or submarine repairs.
