The Integrated Advanced Systems (IAS) team inPhantom Works is looking for a Senior Electronic Design Engineer tojoin our team to work on a variety of activities related toadvanced mission systems in Berkeley, Missouri. As a SeniorElectronic Design Engineer, you will be part of a team working onthe development of a Software Defined Radio (SDR). You will havethe opportunity to lead the embedded software development,implementation of Big Iron open architecture standards, and test ofproducts as they move through their development lifecycle. Therewill also be tasks related to evaluation of effectiveness of variesmission systems technologies installed on a variety of platforms toassist with technology development and EW system evaluations alongwith the assisting with writing proposals for new business. Here inPhantom Works, our job is to transform technologies (both existingand new) into new and innovative products for our customers.

• Serve as the lead for the embedded software implementation on theteam’s SDR
• Effectively work on a diverse team that partners withcustomers both internal to Boeing as well as external.
• Awillingness to learn. We’re a team with lots of domain experts tolearn from. You will also interact with engineers in multipledisciplines outside of electrical engineering.
• Apply generalknowledge of electronic/electrical systems or subsystems andcomponents including operating principles, design variables,performance, and key interfaces.
• Occasional travel may berequired (10% of the time)

Position Responsibilities:

• Developsand validates requirements for various complex communication,sensor, electronic warfare and other electromagnetic systems andcomponents. Develops and validates electromagnetic requirements forelectrical/electronic systems, mechanical systems, interconnectsand structures.
• Develops architectures to integrate complexsystems and components into higher level systems and platforms.
• Performs complicated trade studies, modeling, simulation and otherforms of analysis to predict component, interconnects and systemperformance and to optimize design around established requirements
• Defines and conducts critical tests of various kinds to validateperformance of designs to requirements.
• Manages appropriateaspects of critical supplier and partner performance to ensurecompliance to requirements.
• Provides support to productsthroughout their lifecycle from manufacturing to customer use byproviding guidance and support to resolve complex issues. Supportsproject management by providing coordinating development of workstatement, budget, schedule and other required inputs andconducting appropriate reviews.
• Generates major sections ofproposals to support development of new business.
• Works underminimal direction. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. Theselected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of thelisted location options. This position requires an active U.S.Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S.Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months isconsidered active) Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor of Sciencedegree from an accredited course of study in engineering,engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineeringtechnology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, orcomputer science
• 9 years of work related experience with aBachelor’s OR 7 years with a master’s OR 3 years with a PhD
• Experience programming in C/C++
• Experience programming in Python
• Experience with Kubernetes or other containerization technologies
• Experience with message patters or transport technologies (ZMQ,Apache MQ, etc.)
• Experience with embedded systems developmentPreferred Qualifications
• Experience working with EW systems
• Experience working with RF hardware/subsystems
• Experience withOpen Architectures, especially Big Iron
