About the Role In this vital leadership role, you will lead a team of controlstechnicians to maintain, troubleshoot, and modify material handlingcontrols systems equipment to ensure optimal operationalperformance. What You’ll Do Promote a safe working environment by following all safetyprocedures. Fix and modify software programs for material handling controlsystems, including PLC/PC controllers, Allen Bradley Controllogix/Compactlogix PLC platform and RSLogix 5000 software package. Monitor Industrial networks such as Ethernet, ControlNet,DeviceNet, Profibus, AS-I, motor control systems, servo drives,frequency drives, and electrical distribution systems. Act as first-level support for the Control Systems Technicianteam. Monitor material handling equipment metrics and partner withControls Technicians and Mechanics to resolve equipment electricalproblems that create performance deficiencies. Perform controls systems assessments to maintain and improveequipment reliability. Partner with Facility Operations leadership, equipment vendorsand parts suppliers to plan and coordinate new technologyinstallations; acting as the technical consultant for capitalprojects inside the facility. Clearly communicate technical issues, project timelines, andproduct impacts with site leadership, operations and themaintenance teams. Cultivate positive working relationships with our Client andthe Operations Maintenance team members. Perform other job-related duties as needed or assigned. What You’ll Need Bachelors Degree with a focus in Electronic Technology orequivalent OR 2+ years of equivalent professional experience Minimum of 5 years of related experience and/or training. 2+ years of experience with motor controls (motor starts,variable frequency drives, DC drives, and standard electricalcomponents). 2+ years of experience with programming HMI components. 2+ years of experience with Programmable Logic Controls (PLC)programs. 2+ years of experience with robotics system components andcontrols. 2+ years of experience with SCADA systems. Experience interpreting and modifying mechanical and electricaldrawings. Ability to solve problems and carry out general instructions instandard situations. Ability to move up to 50lbs and physical requirements includingstooping, standing, walking, and climbing stairs / ladders with orwithout reasonable accommodation. Preferred Qualifications 2+ years apprenticeship or equivalent experience in ControlSystems troubleshooting/ programming. Experience supporting a range of different conveyors andsortation systems.
