Quality Engineer – Electronics Position Available In Oneida, New York

Quality Engineer – RTE 8 Our Client is a world class electroniccontract manufacturer of low to mid volume electronic andelectro-mechanical assemblies. This Quality Engineer Position will support the contractmanufacturing business and directly supports Company Mission andVision through a relentless focus on achieving customersatisfaction and improvement of their Quality Management System.

Summary

• Conduct Internal Audits as needed to ensure compliance tothe

AS9100/ISO

9001, ISO13485, and NADCAP standards.

• Monitorsapplicable areas of responsibility to maintain and improve requiredquality requirements, while controlling/reducing cost and notnegatively impacting safety.
• Provides relevant reporting andrecommendations to the Quality Manager
• Acts as a thought advisorfor the Quality System and Quality Assurance methodologies,including staying current on new research and approaches.
• Assistsin facilitating RCCA workshops, and training of quality relatedtopics/techniques (e.g., Error proofing)
• Supports internal andexternal customers related to quality issues and problem solving
• Provides support for Supplier Quality
• Interfaces with or directscommunication between appropriate personnel and customers to ensurecustomer expectations related to quality and auditing, are beingappropriately addressed.
• Performs

PPAP/FAI

related tasks andreporting

• Creates and executes strategies to support annualobjectives.
• Supports the coaching of Managers, Supervisors andProduction personnel in QMS
• Provides hands on support relative toquality issues, error proofing opportunities, customer complaintresolution
• Track key quality related trends and initiate RCCA aswarranted
• Conduct PPAP, FMEA, FAIR, Control plans as neededResponsible for conducting/supporting the followingsystems/processes: QMS, Customer Complaint, NCMR, PPAP/PFMEA/FAIand Corrective/Preventative Action Knowledge and Skills Required
• Experienced with

AS9100, ISO

13485, and NADCAP AC7120 and AC7121standards.

• Experience in electronics manufacturing and/or printedcircuit board industry desired
• Experienced in the use of basicinspection equipment.
• High level ability to create and maintainquality metric charts.
• Strong Math skills to support Qualityinitiatives.
• Strong leadership, and organizational skills
• Knowledge and hands on experience in Quality principles, practices,tools and techniques Education and/or Experience Demonstratedexperience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
• Lean and/or Six Sigma certification preferred.
• ASQ certificationpreferred

IPC 610/620

certified or become certified with anagreed upon time frame.
