Electronics Engineer – Secret Clearance (Job 835)

Overview Applicant will work as part of a research, design, test, and evaluation team. Applicant will collect, organize, store, process and archive digital signal data. As part of the team, the applicant will simultaneously get to work alongside scientists and experts in these fields to help develop complex signal processing algorithms that will extract signal data using machine learning and pattern recognition. They will also participate and contribute to the team in developing project plans, test and analysis plans, and for writing and briefing research progress and results to upper management. Responsibilities Produce technical reports, standard operating procedures, and presentations
Conceptualize, design and model world class signal processing algorithms for complex integrated HW/SW systems
Performance evaluation of signal processing solutions
Work effectively in a cross functional team as well as a diverse customer base
Develop testing criteria and execute validation of designs Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
5-10 years of experience with Digital Signal Processing (DSP) algorithms implementation in Software and FPGAs
Familiarity with RF test equipment including spectrum analyzers, multi-meters, oscilloscopes, vector network analyzers, and signal generators for capturing and analyzing RF signals
Experience with modern communication modulations (FSK, OFDM, QAM, etc.)
Experience with distributed software version control systems and continuous integration, such as git
Experience with military and commercial software defined radios (SDRs) such as Harris, Ettus, National Instruments etc.
Experience with RF engineering to include RF propagation, antennas, modulation schemes and RF measurement techniques for analyzing or interpreting RF signals
Experience implementing signal processing algorithms in GPUs
Experience working in a fast-paced development environment focused on fielding complex signal processing solutions
- Skills
- Strong understanding of software development tools such as integrated development environments (IDE) as well as version control systems and defect reporting tools
Proficient with signal processing software tools such as MATLAB, Python, and GNU Radio for analyzing and visualizing signals.
Strong understanding of C/C++ software development in Unix/Linux operating systems
Demonstrated problem-solving, verbal and written communication, presentation and organizational skills
Proven technical leadership skills ability to generate and deliver creative problem solutions
Strong ability to manage tasks and projects independently with urgency
