Entry Level Engineer Job Description We are currently sourcing for 4-5 entry-level engineers in the New Orleans market. Qualified candidates should have an engineering degree from an accredited ABET university. Ideally, candidates will experience in electrical engineering or mechanical engineering, though chemical or industrial engineering degrees are also acceptable. In this role, candidates will be responsible for performing analysis, staking, and pole relocation support for Utilities in the United States. Responsibilities Perform analysis for utilities projects. Provide staking and pole relocation support. Utilize software tools similar to GDT/Smallworld and DDS for pole analysis and relocations. Travel 5-10% of the time for project staking. Demonstrate strong communication and initiative skills. Be open to feedback and continuous learning. Essential Skills Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (ideally Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, but open to other disciplines) from an ABET accredited university. Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Strong communication and initiative skills. Ability to travel into the office 5 days per week, with potential for a hybrid schedule after 6 months based on performance. Open to traveling 5-10% of the time for project staking. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous distribution engineering experience supporting utilities is a plus. Internship experience to demonstrate initiative. Experience with pole analysis, relocations, and staking. Familiarity with software tools similar to GDT/Smallworld and DDS. Work Environment Office environment, 40 hours per week with some overtime depending on deliverables (must be approved by leadership). Candidates must be open to working in the office full-time for the first 6 months, with the possibility of transitioning to a hybrid schedule based on performance. The role includes occasional travel for project staking.
