Job Description
Building Services Energy Engineer
Location(s): Bangor, ME or Bedford, NH or South Burlington, VT or Waterbury, VT DuBois & King, Inc. is currently hiring a Building Energy Engineer with 5+ years of experience. This is a full time / full benefits position focusing on our busy and growing high performance building work. Projects include commercial, industrial, institutional, healthcare, recreational, and government facilities throughout New England. The candidate must have strong communication skills and be committed to excellence, continuous improvement, and environmental sustainability. Responsibilities Complete energy audits and decarbonization assessments for existing buildings, including preparing technical reports with energy, construction cost, and life cycle cost analysis.
Assess high performance, decarbonized mechanical system options for new buildings, and complete construction documents including drawings and specifications. Qualifications A Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or architectural engineering is required
Experienced with AutoCAD and/or Revit is required
Excellence with Excel and Word is required
Passage of the FE exam is preferred.
Knowledge of building and energy codes is preferred.
Knowledge of Trace, HAP, OpenStudio or other load calculation and energy modeling tools is preferred.
