Essential Functions As the Director of Custom Services at Summit 7, you will be responsible for the scoping and execution of custom projects across new and existing clients. Your role will be pivotal in defining the processes, procedures, frameworks and platforms needed to efficiently execute projects across all technology stacks that Summit 7 operates within.

Key responsibilities include:

Foster a culture of continuous learning and development, providing training and professional growth opportunities to enhance team capabilities. Drive continuous improvement initiatives within delivery, implementing best practices, methodologies, and tools to enhance service delivery effectiveness and efficiency. Develop and document processes that adhere to industry best practices (ITIL). Closely collaborate with both Product Management and ResearchDevelopment teams to identify potential future service offerings. Responsibilities Lead the successful delivery of custom infrastructure and cloud solutions across Microsoft 365, Azure, on-premises environments, and Linux systems within a managed services framework. Translate client requirements into actionable technical solutions, ensuring alignment with business goals, compliance needs, and operational standards. Own the technical delivery lifecycle-from scoping and architecture through deployment and transition to support-ensuring projects are completed on time and within scope and to the client’s satisfaction. Collaborate with the Project Management Office to establish and maintain effective project governance frameworks, processes, and controls to minimize risks and ensure project success. Collaborate with Sales to identify and scope new business opportunities, upsell and cross-sell professional services offerings, and ensure customer satisfaction. Collaborate with Product Development to build technical proposals surrounding beta testing including level of effort, and time estimates. Collaborate with Managed Services to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation, enhancing team efficiency and delivering consistent, high-quality outcomes. Meet with development heads, managers, supervisors, vendors, and others, to seek cooperation and resolve problems. Other duties as assigned. Required Job Specifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or MIS from a reputable institute or equivalent experience. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical teams and clients. Expert knowledge of Microsoft cloud platforms and compliance frameworks (CMMC, NIST, GDPR, ISO 27001, etc.). Expert proficiency in DNS, Active Directory, Intune, Azure Active Directory, Hybrid Exchange, SharePoint, and Teams infrastructures. Experience driving continuous improvement initiatives within the Microsoft cloud compliance domain. Demonstrated leadership excellence with over 15 years of experience in senior-level architecture roles or higher, driving strategic initiatives and technical vision. Must be a US Citizen with the ability to pass an extensive background check. Work Conditions Work is typically performed in an office environment. Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time. Will move about designated office space. Regularly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a copy machine, and computer printer. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
