Responsibilities:
Lead the planning and estimating process for precision aerospace machining projects. Review 3D CAD design blueprints to interpret and validate work order specifications. Analyze work orders and perform technical calculations to determine machining methods and operational sequences. Define and approve part-specific work instructions, reference points, cutting paths, and hole locations.
Qualifications:
7-10 years of experience in manufacturing planning, with 10+ years preferred. Must have an aerospace and manufacturing background. Experience with HAAS machinery and 5-axis machining systems. Proficient in Surfcam programming within a modeling environment. Strong understanding of mechanics, metal properties, and machining procedures. Familiarity with manufacturing fixtures, raw materials, and hardware components. Advanced mathematics skills, especially in algebra and trigonometry. Must be able to read and interpret technical documentation and blueprints effectively. Visual acuity for detailed computer work and physical ability to sit for extended periods.
