Overview:
An established low-voltage security integrator is seeking an experienced Systems Engineering Manager to lead an engineering team in the design and implementation of sales and project solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IP security cameras and door access control systems, as well as experience managing systems engineering teams. This role requires strategic leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the engineering department, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. Mentor and manage a team of engineers, providing guidance on technical issues and career development. Collaborate with sales, proposal, installation, and service teams to define project requirements and specifications. Implement best practices in engineering processes, including documentation, system descriptions, design drawings, presentations, modeling tools, and equipment planning. Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets while ensuring compliance with safety standards. Facilitate communication between internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals. Participate in executive-level meetings to support sales efforts and contribute to strategic planning.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field or 5+ years of experience managing an engineering team in the low-voltage security industry. Familiarity with the Avigilon line of IP cameras and Door Access Control systems, including Unity and Alta platforms. Knowledge of Distributed Antenna Systems (e.g., Bi-Directional Amplifiers) and Land Mobile Radio systems used in Public Safety and Enterprise settings. Proven project management experience in an engineering environment. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of an organization, including executive leadership.

Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts Occasional weekends as needed
