Front-Line Mechanical & Structural Engineering Manager Company:

The Boeing Company Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Space, Intelligence & Weapons Systems (SI&WS) is seeking a Front-Line Mechanical & Structural Engineering Manager for the SI&WS Design Center in Titusville, FL. This Mechanical and Structural Engineering Manager will lead a team of engineers in the design, development, and implementation of mechanical and structural systems. This role involves project management, technical oversight, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure that engineering projects meet quality, safety, and performance standards.

Position Responsibilities:

Manages employees performing engineering and technical activities in the area of Mechanical & Structural Engineering. Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures, and sets operational goals. Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers, and leads process improvements. Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports. Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes. Manages, develops, and motivates employees. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science. 5+ years of experience in engineering. 3+ years of experience leading or managing an engineering team. Ability to travel 10% of time. Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Civil Engineering. Cost Account Manager (CAM) experience. Experience using Boeing Non-Recurring Product Development (NRPD) or equivalent Boeing Development Processes. Excellent communications skills, verbal and written. Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of management, customers, and partners. Master of Science in an engineering discipline. Previous management experience. Ability to build a safe environment of inclusion, transparency, and trust. Leadership skills to lead and influence positive outcomes. Previous experience in leading, mentoring, and engaging individuals and teams. Experience providing active mentorship and career guidance. Can up-level existing team by hiring high performance talent, growing leaders and helping underperforming members. Can gain trust of team and provide guidance for their careers.

Summary pay range:

$130,050 – $175,950
