IXC Network Planning Engineer Position Available In Brevard, Florida

job summary: Join our IXC Network Planning team in Florida to ensure design of network meets requirements.

• 60 per hour work hours: 8am to 5pm education: Associates responsibilities:
• Confirm that carrier HUBs and circuits are accurately documented in design systems (MetaSolv/DICE) and operational tools . Additionally, ensure design documentation aligns with the actual built configurations.
• Provision IXC circuits utilizing Cisco Prime Optical (CPO) or Cisco Transport Controller (CTC).

This also includes configuring supplementary equipment to facilitate the delivery of sub-rate circuits, such as RAD RICi-16/EGATE-100, Cisco

router port configurations (including

T3/T1 SIP/SPA

), and

DNX-11/88

port configurations.

• Provide support for planned maintenance activities during standard business hours and also during after-hours or weekends, as necessary.
• Contribute to the gathering of information required for network issue analysis.

Position Must Haves:

• Demonstrate a solid technical understanding of Gigabit Ethernet/Fast Ethernet, DS1/T1, DS3, VT1.

circuit types. Familiarity with current processes and procedures for provisioning and acceptance testing of these circuit types is also important.

• Ideally, possess 3 or more years of experience working with SONET equipment and Optical Circuits, specifically on ONS-15454 and Fujitsu Flashwave 4500/9500 platforms.
• Have a background in telecommunications transport.
• Be capable of interpreting and implementing design specifications.

• TDM•Time Division Multiplexing•Previous Telecom provisioning background•Familiar with FTI network OR another Large-scale carrier network (AT&T, Verizon, etc.
