We have over 25 years of experience in Forensic Engineering. We are a company known for enhancing restoration and structural strength into older structures throughout Florida. Hillman Engineering is actively searching for a Project Manager in South Florida with the ability to commute to projects in Palm Beach and Dade County. This position will help solve critical concrete restoration and other building systems problems in numerous tall and medium-rise coastal apartment buildings located in Palm Beach, Broward, and Miami-Dade Counties. The ideal candidate must possess the following: Currently reside in South Florida. Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering is strongly preferred. Provide initial construction budgets for analysis and provide periodic budget updates and progress reports for each project. Oversee and direct engineering projects from start to finish. Manage multiple construction projects at one time, accurately, on schedule, within budget, and with a high degree of quality. Knowledge of a variety of construction standards and procedures. Facilitate the bidding process, receive qualified bids, and prepare a bid summary analysis for the Director of Engineering’s review. Review and/or prepare AIA form construction contracts. Coordinate onsite pre-construction meetings with contractors. Provide construction administration throughout the construction process, including problem resolution and dealing with the day-to-day issues of the construction process. Review and respond to all RFI’s. Maintain project schedules. Review/prepare all requests for Change Orders. Review and approve consultant invoices. Review Pay Applications for accuracy. Conduct periodic visits to worksites and report on project progress. Monitor and inspect the workmanship, construction materials, and installation of systems of the project. Have experience in managing design consultants (architectural, civil engineering, landscaping, etc.), as well as managing general contractors. Have the ability to comprehend complex construction drawings.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5-years experience in the management of construction projects is preferred, preferably restoration. Must be available to work varying & flexible hours. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office software including Excel, Word, and Project. Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and can communicate effectively with all levels of internal and external customers and contractors, both verbally and in writing in English. Knowledge of Procore is preferred, but not required.
