Babcock Ranch, America’s first solar powered town seeks an experienced Builder Relations Manager. This position is responsible for the oversight of builder development and field work at Babcock Ranch including monitoring, communicating, coordinating, documenting, and revising (when necessary) all processes, priorities, objectives and obligations of the builders and approval processes.
Responsibilities:
Monitors builder files to ensure that proper permits are on file and consistent with policy and/or legal requirements. Develops weekly/monthly status reports on builder performance and/or approval processes and other related issues. Developer Builder Liaison works with builders to ensure steady progress fulfilling their responsibilities and approvals. Develops, manages and maintains strong relationships with builders and functions as daily point of contact for builders for updates, questions, concerns or unusual conditions during the construction process. Responsible for enforcement of builder guidelines, regulations and standards as defined by Babcock Ranch policies and procedures. Collaborates with Babcock Ranch leadership to establish, implement and periodically update builder policies and procedures. Communicates with builders on any changes or revisions that occur. Updates and prepares builders for hurricane preparedness obligations. Tracks and monitors progress with third-party vendors, including but not limited to, FPL, Lumen, and TECO. Tracks and monitors progress made with FRC and Green Build. Leads the creation of specifications and implementation of FGBC standards throughout the project. Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities:
Experience working in the real estate development business specifically with horizontal development. Experience working in Southwest Florida is preferred . Ability to read architectural and engineering drawings. Basic estimating skills. Financial and budget acumen. Strong planning and organization skills Skilled in written and verbal communication. The ability to manage multiple tasks and shift priorities. Knowledge of Project Construction software. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment. MS Word and Excel knowledge. Familiarity with planning and zoning concepts as well as state and federal permitting. Experience working with state and local government agencies. Ability to manage outside contractors such as civil engineers, landscape architects, utility consultants, soil engineers, environmental engineers, Green Build Professionals, architects, and other professionals for scope of work, project requirements, project timelines, etc. Experience with monitoring the status of projects, business plan targets and budgets Educations and/or
Experience:
A four-year civil engineering or construction management degree is required together with five years of experience in a related field. Can substitute 4-year degree with AS degree and proven and verifiable experience
