$90.4K – $114K a year 1 day ago Qualifications Civil engineering Management 5 years Bachelor of Science Administrative experience Profit & loss Analysis skills Bachelor’s degree Senior level Civil Engineering Construction Management Communication skills Full Job Description The Jacksonville Division President will have full P&L responsibility of this start-up DRB Homes division while planning, organizing, and directing activities related to the construction, sale and settlement of single family and town home communities. This will include responsibility for the performance of all Division staff (all employees and affiliates) and operations. As this is a start-up, the primary focus at the beginning will be on developing a strong land pipeline and establishing the division’s staff and infrastructure. Duties and Responsibilities Lead the startup and scaling of the division, including securing a land pipeline, recruiting and building the leadership team, and ensuring a smooth operational integration. Develop operating plans and standards and regularly reviews performance against targets. Presents monthly reports on performance as requested by the Area President. Collaborate with Area President to identify and secure new land opportunities, while ensuring the successful closure of ongoing deals. Drive the acquisition strategy for new land and manage risk by conducting thorough market analysis and due diligence. Develops and recommends operations policy to support the mission of the Company. Consults with all segments of management responsible for policy or action. Ensures compliance within area of responsibility. Makes recommendations for improving effectiveness of policies and procedures. Defines and recommends objectives in each area of Division Office; develops specific short-term and long-term plans and programs, together with supporting budget requests and financial estimates. Coordinates and collaborates with Corporate Leadership to establish and deliver division commitments. Works with division leaders to identify new land opportunities while continuing to close existing deals. Maintains a strong land pipeline throughout the Jacksonville Market. Presents an annual detailed budget to company executive team. Reviews and approves functional changes within the Division Office. Establishes objectives and procedures governing the performance of assigned activities. Issues specific annual objectives to immediate subordinates and reviews objectives of the Operations Team. Recruit, develop, and mentor a high-performing team capable of executing the company’s objectives and driving growth. Build a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the divisions, ensuring that the team is well-equipped to meet the challenges of expansion. Identifies training needs, initiates development of subordinates, and recommends effective personnel action(s). Other duties as assigned Education and Experience B.S., Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Finance, Real Estate Management or Business discipline. Minimum 5 – 8 years’ experience as a successful Operations/Field leader within the homebuilding industry with a concentration in operations, finance, land, sales and/or production OR Equivalent combination of education and/or work experience. Broad functional experience in areas of production blueprints and specifications, land acquisition, general knowledge of homebuilding financials and systems Knowledge and Skills Sound administrative skills, well-developed management skills—principles and people. Proven ability to recruit, train, and motivate personnel in order to balance staffing strength with profitability and growth. Strong analytical, numerical, and reasoning abilities to present financials and complex land deals to the executive leadership team. Participative management type—advocates team concept. Well-developed interpersonal skills. Ability to get along with diverse personalities. Tactful, mature. Ability to establish credibility and be decisive—but able to recognize and support the organization’s preferences and priorities. Strong communication skills, written and verbal. Results oriented with the ability to balance other business considerations.
