Engineering Manager QuickTie™ 13300 Vantage Way, Jacksonville, FL 32218 Engineering Manager Quick Tie Products, Inc. (“QuickTie”) is a quickly growing manufacturer servicing the building materials products industry. We manufacture and distribute a proprietary hold-down system for wood frame and masonry construction, as well as other related framing products. We sell and service both Single-Family builders and Multi-Family general contractors and framers. We are looking for an Engineering Manager to primarily support our Multi-Family business. This person will be a proven leader with a successful history of leading and developing teams with a growing enterprise. Introverted structural types, . Our VP of Engineering needs to be both a good engineer and a good businessperson. This is what you would be doing: (a) Leading & managing design / engineering teams that produce project shop drawings; (b) Leading & managing estimating teams that produce project quotes; (c) Applying PE seals on submittals; (d) Representing QuickTie in interactions with engineers, architects, contractors, and building officials; (e) Contributing to new product development, software development, and other technical matters; (f) Performing calculations as requested; (g) Assuring quality & accuracy of estimates, shop drawings, submittals and take-offs; (h) At a high level, owning multi-family projects (by, for example, leading weekly meetings to move projects forward and set priorities for shipments); (i) Developing and maintaining strong relationships with customers; help sales close contracts on outstanding quotes; (j) “Other” duties: a. Applying for (if needed) and maintaining Professional Engineering seals in key states as needed; b. Producing (or contributing to the production of) educational materials for continuing education classes for engineers, building officials, and contractors; c. Performing other related duties, functions, and services as assigned.

Qualifications:

B.S. in Civil or Structural Engineering Active Florida Professional Engineering license Excellent communication skills including verbal, written, and presentation skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word), with particular emphasis on Excel Energetic personality and a take charge attitude; strong sense of urgency and problem-solving Self-motivated. High level of organization and attention to detail Customer excellence

Salary:

The salary for this position is $125,000 annually A pre-employment drug screen and background check is required. QuickTie is an EEO Employer.
