Job Description

Gas Turbine (GT) Mechanical Manager 2.2 2.2 out of 5 stars Jacksonville, FL 32256 This position is based in our Jacksonville, Florida Corprate HQ. Relocation assistance is available for the successful candidate. No Third Party Applications are being accepted at this time. The Mechanical Gas Turbine Manager will oversee all field-related mechanical activities associated with gas turbine power generation packages, including air intake, engine, exhaust, fuel, and water systems. This role is responsible for supporting new plant installations, commissioning, major maintenance, routine audits, and complex mechanical troubleshooting. The Manager will ensure that all documentation for assembly, alignment, component stack-out, commissioning, decommissioning, and special improvement projects is properly developed and maintained. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams including Instrumentation & Controls, balance of plant (BOP), plant operations, and engineering to support operational excellence and cost control.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Coordinating and managing third party service providers as necessary and directed by the manager.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Foster and enforce a strong safety culture across all work environments. Lead field activities include major maintenance, scheduled audits, and specialized mechanical work (e.g., hot section service, borescope inspections, hot bolting). Coordinate with project and plant managers to schedule and execute installation and maintenance activities in line with project and outage schedules. Provide technical support to resolve complex engine and mechanical package issues in operating plants. Conduct equipment audits, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions. Support procurement efforts by validating and identifying mechanical spare parts delivered to warehouses. Lead field teams to meet or exceed scope and performance expectations on turbine installation and service contracts. Ensure work packages are executed per OEM and Organizational standards. Manage the use and documentation of specialty tooling and vibration analysis as needed. Support divisional goals by contributing to cost reduction, process improvements, and quality enhancement.
