The role will require travel throughout the area and will be based in the Tampa area.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, government agencies, and industry partners. Support pursuit strategy and proposal development for major projects and accounts. Collaborate with C-suite and marketing to expand the Southeast region. Project Management Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets. Ensure project scope, timelines, and costs are clearly defined and adhered to. Lead and manage a team of architects, engineers and production staff. Ensure effective collaboration and communication among all team members. Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring efficient resource allocation. Track project expenditures and manage project costs to avoid cost overruns. Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project progress and ensuring their expectations are met throughout the life of project. Ensure that all designs and construction activities comply with relevant building codes, regulations, and standards. Identify and resolve design issues, ensuring that the project maintains the highest quality. Develop risk mitigation strategies to minimize the impact on project timelines, costs, and quality. Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including contracts, designs, permits, and change orders. Ensure all project milestones are documented and tracked. Prepare and review progress reports, budgets, and final project reports. Conduct site visits to ensure that construction is progressing according to plans and quality standards. Team & Talent Management Mentor and develop a high-performing team of architects, engineers and other support staff. Support recruitment and retention efforts across disciplines for the region. We are looking for someone who has: Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, or related field. Professional Engineer license or Architect license. 20+ years of public sector work in the A/E industry, with 5+ years in a leadership role. Proven experience in business development, client management, and team leadership. Strong track record in project delivery, team management, and client relationship development. Deep understanding of architectural and engineering practices, codes, and standards. Excellent communication, leadership, and strategic thinking skills. Ability to travel as needed. Most travel will be within the region as needed; however, other travel may be required.
