Job Description HEICO Component Repair Group is currently seeking an experienced Engineer to work in its Miami Repair Station. In this position the Engineer will be responsible for: Repair fabrication projects from initial assessment through to final implementation.
Analyze existing commercial aircraft components in order to reverse engineer them and develop equivalent parts with improved performance and cost savings.
Manage and participate in all aspects of reverse engineering a product, develop documentation and provide fabrication and product support and technical instructions on time and within budget.

Requirements Skills/Education & Experience:

Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Degree with a minimum of 8 years of related experience.
Demonstrated proficiency in design specification, interpretation, dimensional tolerance analysis and must have an understanding of material properties for the purpose of reverse engineering commercial aircraft components.
Must have knowledge of and experience with commercial aircraft part development including, but not limited to regulatory requirements and specifications.
Demonstrated proficiency in developing drawings and 3D solid modeling using SolidWorks
Experience with dimensional tolerancing methods including GD&T
Hands on manufacturing experience preferred.
Experience with the FAA PMA and STC process preferred.
