- The role you’ll contribute:
- The Director of Engineering Services is responsible for providing leadership to the Engineering Dept.
, Environmental Services Dept, Biomed Dept. Grounds Dept. and Security Dept. and for management of it human, material and financial resources. This leader is expected to role model the organization values of care, quality, stewardship, accountability, integrity and courtesy. They are expected to formulate a plan for the operation of his department that is in alignment with Florida Hospital Zephyrhills’ vision core purpose/mission and which supports and is fully integrated with organizational strategic plan and operational goals and objectives. They will work collaboratively with other leaders within the center and throughout the hospital to achieve department, center and hospital-wide quality, satisfaction and financial goals. Contributes to positive outcomes and meeting the cultural expectations of the organization by exhibiting professional behavior. He shares responsibility for all aspects of team functions. Will also function as the Safety Officer and is responsible for Emergency Management, providing leadership, management, and coordination related to Engineering, Design and Construction Services for Florida Hospital Zephyrhills (FHZ). Is also responsible for the Statement of Condition (SOC) for FHZ on an ongoing basis to meet the Environment of Care Standard (EOC) as part of the Joint Commission requirements.

OF RESPONSIBILITY
- Responsible for the preventative and corrective maintenance of electrical, mechanical and utility systems, maintaining cost effective measures through the efficient and efficient use of labor and materials.
- Performs routine and periodic evaluation and documentation of electrical, mechanical and emergency systems to ensure proper levels of operation and redundancy.
- Oversees ALL construction and renovation projects ensuring timely and cost effective completion and continuity of services.

RESPONSIBILITY
- Maintains proper documentation to comply with regulatory standards.
- Ensures ongoing education and training programs for all staff to ensure up-to-date knowledge of local, State and Federal agencies such as AHCA, OSHA and the Joint Commission
- as well as with Florida Hospital Policies and Procedures.
- Provided advice and guidance to hospital department managers and other personnel in policy interpretations and related matters ensuring compliance.
+ OPERATING & CAPITAL
BUDGET/FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
- Prepares and administers operating budgets incorporating long and short-term goals forecasting personnel, equipment and professional development needs. Managing and monitoring the department’s expenditures to assure fiscal responsibility and accountability. Qualifications
