  • Lead and grow a team of engineers, providing mentorship and fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture.
  • Play a pivotal role in expanding CAGE’s presence in Charlotte by building relationships with local agencies, clients, and industry partners.
  • Represent CAGE as a technical expert and trusted advisor, ensuring Principal-level attention to client needs.
  • Identify business development opportunities and contribute to strategic planning for future growth. Project Management & Technical Expertise
  • Oversee all phases of land development and civil engineering projects, ensuring quality, timeliness, and cost efficiency.
  • Manage project teams, collaborating with engineers, designers, and external stakeholders to drive successful outcomes.
  • Stay actively engaged in project execution—leading technical reviews, providing design input, and troubleshooting challenges.
  • Ensure all engineering work complies with local regulations, permitting requirements, and industry standards. Operational & Team Development
  • Establish and refine operational processes to support an efficient and scalable engineering team.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, professional development, and knowledge sharing.
  • Work closely with other departments (surveying, construction management, business development) to integrate engineering solutions effectively. — Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification required.
  • Experience in Civil engineering in project management and/or team leadership.
  • Strong local knowledge of Charlotte’s permitting and development processes and existing relationships with agencies or clients is a major plus.
  • Experience working in an entrepreneurial or fast-growing environment is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other relevant engineering software.
  • Excellent project management, communication, and business development skills.
