The primary purpose of the position is to lead and manage project engineering, ensuring we have the optimum facilities and manufacturing processes/lines as well as to provide Engineering /Technical stewardship.
Primary responsibilities include:
Lead, direct, and coordinate all facilities construction and new manufacturing equipment installations. Provide functional stewardship/oversight for all aspects of Engineering. Initiate/commercialize process development projects, ensuring continuous improvement. Implement quality improvement and cost reduction projects. Develop design criteria for new equipment. Ensure that the business operation has the engineering/technical capability for meeting future business requirements. Maintain a safe work environment, actively involved in improving safety systems and eliminating the causes of accidents. Must exhibit a strong attention to detail in all aspects of role Education, experience, and skills required include: Strong technical aptitude and project management skills are musts. Communication and interpersonal skills area key, as this position must/ will interact with many different functions and levels within and outside the organization. A good teacher/mentor and team leader/builder Capable of handling directly or indirectly, multiple tasks and projects. Strong computer and analytical skills. Manufacturing and project costing experience. Demonstrated success in leading multidiscipline technical organizations in a manufacturing environment. Eight to ten years minimum manufacturing experience required: preferably in a continuous process plant environment Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required.
