Engineering Manager Position Summary We’re seeking a hands-on, forward-thinking Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team specifically extrusion/plastic manufacturing. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Development Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Process Engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Guide technical execution across the foam extrusion process, ensuring alignment with strategic business goals. Partner cross-functionally with Maintenance, Production, and R D to drive operational excellence. Process Optimization Design and implement improvements that enhance safety, efficiency, product quality, and sustainability. Lead and justify plant efficiency and safety initiatives from concept through execution. Maintain and improve digital and technical monitoring systems for extrusion equipment. Provide expert troubleshooting and hands-on support to maximize equipment uptime. Project & Strategic Management Drive structured planning, execution, and completion of engineering projects aligned with company objectives. Oversee budgets for new production lines and develop cost-effective technical solutions. Coordinate production trials and testing for new products, ensuring seamless integration into operations. Spearhead facility growth and expansion efforts to support long-term business strategy. Willingness to respond to emergency calls after hours in a 24/7 production setting. Preferably located within 30 minutes of the facility. Preferred Qualifications 5+ years of engineering experience, including 3+ years in a project management/engineering management role. Background in plastics, extrusion, or similar manufacturing is highly desirable.
