Duties:

Lead activities in the space of Advanced Manufacturing and Industrial facilities throughout various phases of design and construction. Oversee and monitor cross-functional teams of technical professionals and subject matter experts to execute project work on mid-level and/or multiple concurrent projects, including budgets, tracking hours and expenses, task completion, cost and quantities of materials/equipment/labor, deliverables, compliance documentation, and managing the contractual obligations to deliver the project(s) as defined in the contract. Lead the development of project proposals, cost estimates, scope, schedules, and resource plans. Develop the work breakdown structure (WBS) tasks and estimated costs. Establish and actively drive the appropriate levels of technical review required for the project, selecting appropriately qualified staff to perform the required reviews, and adherence to the QA/QC plan, as applicable. Ensure and maintain a record of each review and the disposition of review comments and all correspondence leaving the project. Mentor project team members to support their growth and professional development. Perform margin analyses, establishing margin goals and risk contingencies. Participate in the technical aspects of contract negotiation, presentations, and meetings. Develop and update the Project Initiation/Setup Documentation including, Risk Management Plan (RMP), Project Management Plan (PMP), Project Quality Plan (QP), Project Safety Plan (PSP), and Communications Plan as necessary. Conduct and facilitate project kick-off meetings with key stakeholders. Work collaboratively with Project Accounting to monitor and track project metrics, estimated time-to-completion, cash management, and budgeted margin for an assigned portfolio of projects. Oversee management of budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, cost and change management and control. Coordinate with area/technical managers to address project resource and subcontracting requirements in a timely manner. Maintain regular communications with the client including reporting on monthly status, safety incidents, and major issues together with scope and budget impacts. Participate in problem project reviews, providing input about root cause issues and potential solutions to leadership and other stakeholders. Provide regular project reporting and updates to clients, technical area, and business unit managers, identifying any emergent issues with scope, risk, and/or budget. Monitor accounts receivable (AR) and unbilled revenue, working to address issues as needed. Work with the Procurement Department to closeout procurements and/or supplier agreements as appropriate. Complete formal project closeout activities, along with conducting and documenting a lessons-learned meeting with key project staff.

Remain current in the latest Project Management techniques and practices (PMAP). (15% domestic travel may be required).

Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related field, and five (5) years of experience as a Senior Engineer or related role.

Experience must include:

Contract administration including procurement strategies, bid evaluation, administering compliance, change management and claim adjudication. Compiling proposals or bid documentation for multi-disciplinary engineering bids for prospects within the industrial manufacturing sector. Complete stakeholder engagement including internal and external professional consultants, general contractor associates, suppliers, and client representatives.
