Overall Purpose:

Provides radio frequency (RF) engineering and some Radio Access Network (RAN) design engineering.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

Oversees installation, maintenance, optimization, and/or performance of wireless radio access network communications systems, including radio propagation modeling and prediction, microwave path analysis, interference analysis, frequency coordination, cell site equipment layout, parameter definition and ancillary equipment. May do some design. May include GIS (Geographic Information Systems) performance analysis & drive testing. Analyzes RAN data to recommend optimal changes to RAN network to improve all key indexes and performance indicators. May include engineering, design, development, test, implementation, maintenance, RF optimization, capacity management, performance management, encryption, and/or troubleshooting of satellite networks and Teleports, including underlying routing.

Job Contribution:

Expert level technical professional. Advisor on technical knowledge and ATT technologies.

Education:

Typically requires a Bachelors Degree in Engineering, or equivalent degree.

Experience:

Typically requires 8-10 years of applicable experience. Technical Career Pathway (TCP) role.

Environmental Requirements:

This position may be responsible for contributing to AT&T compliance with environmental laws and regulations as applicable to its job function. This may include, but is not limited to, work related to fuel tanks, emergency and stand-by generators, boilers, hazardous waste, hazardous materials, batteries, manholes and vaults, water wells, linear and other construction projects, water discharge, or air emissions. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
