The focus includes:
Leading pricing proposals and cost estimates
Overseeing CNC, laser, and water jet programmers (team of 4)
Managing capital projects and
ISO 9001
compliance
Supporting new business onboarding and continuous improvement initiatives
Key Responsibilities
Manage, mentor, and develop a team of 4 technical experts
Foster a collaborative, results-driven culture
Define project scopes, timelines, and milestones
Balance workloads and allocate tasks effectively
Work alongside the team (not just above them)
Provide expertise in estimating, manufacturability, and process improvement
Support CNC programming and engineering documentation
Partner with operations, sales, and leadership to align technical efforts with business goals
Lead internal audits, manage compliance, and uphold quality standards
Champion automation and process improvement
Coordinate with vendors to implement new equipment or upgrades
Requirements
Must-Haves
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
5+ years in engineering roles; 2+ years in leadership
Deep knowledge of metal fabrication, stamping, or machining
Skilled in cost estimating, SolidWorks, and ERP/MRP systems (JobBOSS preferred)
Hands-on experience with CNC machines and tooling
Strong project management and problem-solving skills
Effective communicator and team developer
Preferred
Experience in welding/fabrication, resistance spot welding, tool & die, CNC programming, and automation
