Position:
Consulting Business Developer (Primetals Technologies USA LLC; Alpharetta, GA)
Duties:
Marketing and sales support activities of Electrical and Automation (EA) solutions for the Flat Rolling segment. Work closely with electrical, automation and mechanical sales team to market EA solutions and address opportunities in the market. Support account managers in terms of customer visits, EA solutions and concepts preparation, customer presentations, proposal and bid documents preparation and contract negotiations. Lead the proposal preparation efforts internally to ensure timely and accurate response to customer’s inquiries. This includes electrical concept design, technical specifications preparation, equipment layout and selection, proposal strategies with internal groups and suppliers e.g. operations, procurement, etc. Maintain involvement with key customers to understand their needs and also develop new customers by building trust and rapport together with the sales team. Support the Flat Rolling segment in portfolio idea generation by providing input from the market and trend information. Work closely with the service organization to ensure that all sales opportunities arising out of the field activities are understood; addressed and considered in shaping the sales strategies / portfolio enhancements. Represent the company and network with client leadership at industry associations, professional or community organizations to enhance business image and success. Collaborate with other business units to provide comprehensive solutions to our customers.
Minimum education required:
Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in Electrical, Electronics, Controls Engineering or related field.
Minimum experience required: 10 years of experience in Electrical, Electronics, Controls Engineering or related experience.
Skills required: Must have experience with: project management; CALCIS estimation tool; electrical and automation solutions for metals industry; development of migration plans for electrical and automation solutions; process knowledge on metals industry; engineering tools for electrical and automation system; SIMATIC PCS7, Step5, and Step7; and WinCC, D7-Sys, TIA Portal, and Struc-G. Experience in Technical Project Management, with direct exposure to marketing and sales activities related to Electrical and Automation systems in the metals industry. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.
