As the VP of Engineering, you will be a critical leader in shaping RoadSync’s technical strategy and building scalable, reliable, and secure systems that will support our exponential growth. Reporting directly to the CTO, you will be responsible for leading, mentoring, and scaling a high-performing engineering organization, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. RoadSync Technical Excellence:
Drive the development, deployment, and maintenance of scalable, reliable, and secure technology solutions. Champion best practices in software development, infrastructure management, and quality assurance. Oversee the evolution of our system architecture, balancing short-term execution with long-term technical sustainability.
Innovation & Problem Solving:
Anticipate technical challenges and proactively lead efforts to address system performance, scalability, and service reliability as the platform grows. Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to maintain a competitive edge and promote innovation within the team.
Team Leadership & Development:
Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performance engineering team, fostering a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement. This includes recruiting, hiring, and developing top-tier engineering talent, managing performance objectives and optimizing team structure for scalability and impact.
Operational Excellence:
Implement and refine engineering processes and methodologies to achieve efficient and effective project execution. Manage the engineering team experience across recurring meetings to ensure understanding and teamwork among pods.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner closely with Product, Design, Sales, and Operations teams to ensure engineering efforts drive key revenue outcomes and strategic priorities. Facilitate architecture discussions and decision-making, ensuring a cohesive and strategic product development.
Strategic Leadership:
Partner with the CTO and senior leadership to define and execute the overall technical strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with RoadSync’s mission and business objectives. We’d love to hear from you if you have… 10+ years of progressive software engineering experience, with a significant portion in senior leadership roles (e.g., leading teams of 15+ engineers), ideally within payments or similar money movement areas of fintech SaaS. Proven expertise in designing and building large-scale, cloud-based systems (AWS, GCP, etc.) and making architectural decisions that scale with business needs. Hands-on programming skills in modern languages (e.g., Python, Go) with a deep understanding of best practices in code quality and performance. Demonstrated success in delivering complex projects that align with both technical and business goals, meeting deadlines in fast-paced, dynamic environments. Strong experience in cross-functional collaboration, with a proven ability to work effectively with Product, Design, and other business teams to deliver high-quality solutions. Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams, manage competing priorities, and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and external stakeholders.
