Valmet, Inc. seeks a Project Lead Engineer AUT in Norcross, GA.

Duties:

Lead engineering work in project. Technical responsibility of the whole project or one product in the project. Project engineering planning and together with PM. Definitions according sold scope and contract requirements. Main technical contact person for customer. Managing engineering information received from customer (including change management). Engineering team progress follow up for whole delivery. Responsible of logistic orders in project. Quality control according PQM (project quality milestone) model for whole delivery. FAT responsible. SAT and commissioning responsible at customer site. System configuration basic settings and testings. Project documentation and as built documentation. Project archiving and reuse practices. Engineering procedures follow up. LE trainings done. Keep mandatory trainings status valid (HSE, Cyber security). HSE procedures follow up. Provide feedback and development ideas after project and participate feedback meetings according feedback process. Provide support for colleagues and ask for it always when needed. Develop own engineering skills according to needs (inform needs to engineering manager and participate trainings). The position is involved in leading Distributed Control System (DCS) projects using the Valmet DNA DCS technology. These projects can involve replacing an existing, older DCS with a new Valmet DNA DCS; or implementing a new Valmet DNA DCS on a new machine or process. The requires specific knowledge about the Valmet DCS DNA system and hardware; including virtualization, networking, DNA systems, ACN hardware, IO hardware and external links. Additionally, the Project Lead Engineer AUT is responsible for ensuring all Valmet Engineering processes are followed throughout the project. This includes engineering planning, project team coordination, quality monitoring and reporting, internal and customer testing planning, and site planning. Engineering planning involves coordination with the customer and project team to ensure all basic engineering, detailed engineering and testing plans are in alignment with the overall project needs. Project team coordination involves ensuring the right technical resources are assigned and available during the different phases of the project engineering. Quality monitoring and reporting involves following the Valmet Project Quality Milestones process to ensure we are following all the necessary steps and delivering projects at the right quality levels, and reporting progress using the PQM checklist. Internal and customer testing planning involves creating detailed testing plans to ensure all detailed engineering has been completed properly. Site planning involves creating site testing plans and ensuring the right technical resources are assigned to the right site phases.

Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated worksites throughout the United States and abroad at least 50% of the time.

Employer will accept a Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering or related field and 2 years of work experience in the job offered, or in a related occupation.$92,955 per year.
