Process Technology Manager 4.2 4.2 out of 5 stars Waggaman, LA 70094 We are seeking a Process Technology Manager for a specialty chemical manufacturing facility in the Luling, Louisiana area to lead its process development and technology transfer activities. The facility will produce specialty chemicals used in electric vehicle batteries and semiconductor applications. The Process Technology Manager will work closely with global technical teams, oversee Aspen simulations and process modeling, and provide strategic guidance to the local engineering staff. This is a direct-hire leadership role with long-term growth potential.
Responsibilities:
Lead process technology integration and transfer from global R D and engineering teams. Develop and review Aspen Plus/HYSYS models and heat/material balances. Oversee pilot testing, scale-up, and implementation of new production processes. Serve as the technical point of contact for overseas stakeholders. Guide and mentor plant process engineers. Support commissioning and early-stage operations. Drive process improvements and long-term technical strategy.
Qualifications:
B.S. or M.S. in Chemical Engineering. Minimum 10 years of experience in process technology or process engineering roles. Background in specialty chemicals, methanol, hydrogen, high alloys, or pharmaceuticals. Advanced proficiency in Aspen Plus or Aspen HYSYS. Excellent communication, leadership, and team coordination skills. Demonstrated experience working with global teams. Refinery background is not a fit for this position.
