What You Will Do:

Raytheon is seeking a Senior Packaging Engineer to provide uniquepackaging designs and engineering in support of purchased parts andassemblies, manufacturing processes and finished product outboundto our customers. Our products have a wide range of size andcomplexity from thumb drives to heavy weight and oversized majorend items of radars, shelters and antennas. This position supportsmultiple major production programs by creating and maintaining thepackaging solutions supporting preservation and shipment ofdeliverable products. In this role, you’ll balance multipleprojects and customers in a dynamic manufacturing landscape,supporting cost reduction and process improvement initiatives aswell as manufacturing activities on the production floor.

Additional responsibilities will include: Developing thoughtful,effective and innovative packaging solutions to support thepreservation and safe shipment of all hardware. Creating packagingdesigns using CREO 3D CAD, including:

• Protective cushioned packs
• Corrugated structures
• Wood crates and assemblies
• Vacuum formedplastics Initiating cost reductions and process improvementsTeaming with Product, Manufacturing and Logistics Engineering alongwith Traffic, Safety and EHS to ensure deliverables are achieved ontime and with value Planning, coordinating and executing PackagePerformance testing using ASTM D 4169 and/or International SafeTransit Association (ISTA) protocol Developing and maintainingspecial packaging instructions and drawings meeting Military andBest Commercial standards.

Qualifications You Must Have :

Typicallyrequires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering orMathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years relevant experience. Anadvanced degree may account for additional years of experience asrequired for this position Experience with CREO, SolidWorks orother CAD software Experience with project management

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD

• 164,000 USD.

The salary range provided is a good faith estimaterepresentative of all experience levels.
