Overview
The Engineering Planning Department is looking for a strong individual to contribute toward Engineering Planning efforts at the Tech Center. This position reports directly to the Senior Supervisor, Engineering Planning.
Key Responsibilities
Safety Leadership:
Enforce safety policies and procedures, with a focus on housekeeping and personal safety.
Participate in initiatives to enhance workplace safety and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Project Execution:
Ensure all Design and Engineering LYS tasks are scheduled in alignment with management expectations
Identify non-value-added activities and implement process improvements to enhance productivity.
Planning Management:
Participate on team to resolve challenges using the A3 problem-solving method.
Participate in efforts to improve design efficiency and optimization.
Training and Development:
Incorporate feedback and lessons learned to improve future planning and execution stages.
Follow planning processes and procedures that are well-documented and communicated and kept up to date.
Team Collaboration and Communication:
Follow Plan requirements that are communicated and well understood by all stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement:
Participate in BOS manufacturing principles and productivity enhancements.
Respond as needed to IPTs looking to streamline processes and improve safety, quality, and cost-efficiency
Responsibilities
Bachelors degree in a related area required or equivalent experience
Qualifications
Excellent administrative skills: effective interpersonal skills, demonstrated skills in the areas of verbal and written communication, problem solving/decision making, conflict resolution, and organization required.
Demonstrated understanding/implementation of LEAN manufacturing principles.
Demonstrated management, project coordination and leadership skills required. Strong written, oral communications and organizational skills required.
Proficiency with key Planning systems, including Open Plan and WFM preferred.
Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office products required.
Ability and willingness to work in and promote a true team environment.
Successful experience in implementing and monitoring continuous improvement initiatives to improve safety, improve quality, reduce cycle time, and reduce costs.
