Job Description
Description We are looking for a dedicated Quality Engineering Manager to lead and refine our Quality Management System in Brewer, Maine. This role requires a proactive individual who ensures products meet rigorous quality standards while adhering to industry regulations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain compliance and implement effective quality assurance processes.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and enhance the Quality Management System to ensure compliance with industry and customer standards.
- Develop, implement, and validate quality processes that support production and operational goals.
- Conduct inspections, audits, and root cause analyses to identify and address quality issues.
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the quality of incoming materials and components.
- Oversee supplier quality engineering activities to maintain high standards across the supply chain.
- Lead and support cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) requirements and other regulatory standards.
- Provide guidance and training to staff on quality assurance and quality control best practices.
- Monitor and report on key quality metrics to senior management.
- Address customer concerns by implementing corrective and preventive actions where necessary. Requirements
- Proven experience in quality engineering and quality assurance, preferably in manufacturing or logistics.
- Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems and industry standards.
- Expertise in supplier quality engineering and maintaining supplier compliance.
- Familiarity with Department of Defense (DoD) regulations and requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct audits, inspections, and root cause analyses.
- Proficiency in implementing quality assurance and quality control practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities to collaborate with diverse teams.
