DescriptionMulti-Discipline Engineer III- “W-TRS” , Orlando, FloridaOn-Site RoleV2X is seeking an Engineering Lead for JRTC who is passionate about leading a team of multi-disciplined engineers committed to making our customer’s missions successful. This Engineering Lead (MD III) provides leadership to a team of engineers who develop and implement solutions at JRTC based Instrumentation System and Networks.
The JRTC Engineering Lead has a responsibly to lead the team through all phases of program development, starting with the early pursuit phases, establishing solid proposal positions, through all design, implementation, and testing phases ensuring high quality engineering execution is performed on time and on budget and finally supporting programtransitions to manufacturing, sustainment, and support of fielded systems all to ensure we meet the contractual requirements of our customers while exceeding their expectations.

Job Responsibilities:
People ManagementLeadership of a 15-20 multi disciplined technical staff focused on ensuring the JRTC IS meets training readiness needsProvide mentorship to the technical team at JRTC to foster individual & career growth.
Provide technical oversite of subcontractors that are supporting V2X in the execution of tasking associated with JRTC IS and training networksPerforming workforce planning to meet program and project requirements. Including coordinating with engineering management in the assignment of personnel to meet program needs and hiring/recruiting to support department and business growth objectives.
Maintaining a strong succession plan for key positions across programs.
Program / Business SupportDelivery of customer commitments for the engineering performance on W-TRS with a focus on JRTC IS and Network and the coaching of the technical staff supporting thisPartnering with Chief Engineer, TADDS Lead Engineer, and CTC Program Leadership and leaders, and even other Engineering Discipline leaders as needed to deliver high quality proposals and meet business and customer commitments in our program results.
Maintaining constant and regular engagement for all supported projects to ensure the team performance meets or exceeds the program plan.
Working closely with program and business area managers to ensure customer satisfaction and business alignment. Interfacing with customers and users to build relationships and develop roadmaps of solutions to meet their needs.
Driving new business growth through proactive engagement to identify on-contract growth (ECPs), lead white paper development, engineering estimations, and proposal responses.
Engineering Organizational SupportLead, develop and mentor engineers in the performance of JRTC IS and Network operation, sustainment and modernizationEngage with the development of a cohesive approach to address operational requirement of the CTCSupporting Engineering improvement initiatives to include innovation, technologies, and methodologies.
Delivering weekly and monthly reports detailing engineering highlights and technical accomplishments of the JRTC Technical TeamIndividual SkillsMaintaining a professional attitude, to serve as an example to the team, with team members, other functional organizations, internal and external customers.
Communicating effectively to large groups and senior leaders.
Required Skills:
Minimum of 8 years of related engineering development experience working in the DoD industry.
Experience with Combat Training Cen er (CTC) operations and rotational supportExperience in System Administration and Network Administration taskingExperience with complex system integration and testExperience in performing cyber vulnerability analysis on architectures and design across enterpriseAbility to manage, train and mentor staff.
Very strong organizational and team development skillsStrong leadership and communication skillsProven ability to lead an engineering team through the estimates and proposalsDemonstrated knowledge of multiple engineering disciplines (e.g. Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Configuration Management, Mission Assurance)Experience briefing (both written and oral) effectively to all levels of the organization, from peers to senior management and DoD customersExperience mentoring engineers of all grade levels.

Experience in the application of Model Based Systems EngineeringMaster’s Degree in Engineering, or other relevant technical discipline.
Experience working on international programsExperience in capture management: create/reviewing RFPs, SOWs, BOEs, tech volumes, proposals.
Experience engineering pursuit/proposal leaderExisting DOD Secret ClearanceExperience in software design and implementation in embedded systems for DoD platformsExperience with multi-level security solutionsExperience with commercial-off-the-shelf security technologies and trusted productsKnowledge of reverse engineering principles and methodsExperience in Network Design, implementation and support.
Education Requirements:
