Manager Product Engineering Position Available In Gaston, North Carolina

Main Tasks Lead the development and refinement of innovative product design concepts, ensuring alignment with customer needs, technical feasibility, and business goals.
Manage the design engineering team, providing direction, coaching, and technical leadership throughout the product lifecycle.
Oversee the translation of product requirements into engineering drawings, 3D models, and detailed technical documentation.
Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between R D, Product Management, Manufacturing, Quality, and Testing to ensure successful design outcomes.
Drive CAD modeling excellence and ensure precision in digital design assets and simulations.
Lead prototype development, feasibility testing, and validation phases to assess product performance, user experience, and manufacturability.
Ensure all designs comply with internal standards, industry regulations, and sustainability criteria.
Develop and implement structured test plans, resource allocations, and risk assessments for new projects.
Manage multiple design projects concurrently, ensuring on-time delivery, technical integrity, and cross-team alignment.
Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing within the design engineering function.
Support and contribute to product innovation strategies, bringing in new methods, tools, and materials to enhance product competitiveness.

Your Profile Education:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a related technical field.

Experience:

At least 7 years of experience in product development or design engineering, including 2+ years in a people leadership or project lead role.

Skills:

Proven experience with CAD tools (e.g., CATIA, Siemens NX, or equivalent), engineering drawings, and 3D modeling best practices.
Strong understanding of product lifecycle management (PLM), design-for-manufacturing (DFM), and design validation processes.
Track record in managing complex engineering projects and cross-functional collaboration.
Experience with prototype development, feasibility testing, and structured test planning.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with a structured, analytical mindset.
Ability to foster innovation and continuous improvement in engineering practices.
Fluent in English; additional language skills are a plus.
Willingness to travel regionally or globally based on project needs.
